synopsis

bruce is a 31 year old gay man. he never lived the classic scenario “boy meets boy in a bar”. in search of love, he uses a dating app. what does he find? fast adventure and hopefully his dream man.

world premiere of the film was in

india – calcutta – international cult film festival (cicff) 2018

this was a great place to start with the screenings. the makers of the festival in inda describe their own festival: “we would like to see films made primarily for aesthetic and philosophical reasons. we believe that a story driven by a genuine expression can stimulate new thoughts that have the power to promote the fundamental principles of humanism; expand creative frontiers; stimulate new levels of compassion, and even lead to social change.” we are proud to participate to such a wonderful mission.

another very important screening that means a lot to us takes place in kampala which is the capital of uganda, africa.

africa – uganda – kampala
queer kampala international film festival 2018

one of the objectives of the film festival is to promote legal reforms. they support the expanding of the network of lgbttiq* advocates, allies and activists who lobby relevant authorities and interest groups, especially politicians. the festival takes place at various locations in the city. the venues will be announced only a few hours before the event takes place. this is due to the fact that the ugandan police attacked last year’s festival on December 9th, 2017. they violently closed it down. you will find additional information on the human rights watch website. in the following video hassan kamoga, one of the founders of the festival, tells us more about the festival. he believes that social justice film-making has the power to change hearts, minds, and laws.
